Default idle speed

the idle tick over is set too high , is it easy to turn tick over down 1.3lx G reg ?

yes really easy

Depending on how thin and long a screw driver you have you may have to remove the air filter box thingy to do it. From the front of the car the idle screw is on the lower left of the carb facing upwards. you might be able to see it if you look betwen the carb dash pot and the air box.

Make sure the engine is up to temperature and adjust it till it starts to falter then speed it up a little. If you have got a rev counter set it to the book recommndation, if not by ear is good enough.
