Default Fog light wiring fault?

Ive occured a small problem .

I washed "ella" on monday night. the front took some doing .

as i walked past the loung window a few hours later , the front fog lights came on

i went out , and checked everythign was off. the fog lights were in the on position , but the sidelights power them , and they were off.

i turned the sidelights on , they came on , and the fogs flickered and stayed on . turned off the sidelights and they all went out.

About 1am , my dad thumped on my door to wake me , to make me go disconnect my battery , as they were on again :S .

the relay is up by the expansion tank {so it stays dry} , and power comes from the sidelights {so i cant have them fogs on without sidelights}

any ideas :laugh:

I had this once, the relay was full of water. Have you taken it out to see if your fog lights go off, or even just checked it anyway?

I'd say the same. Water in the relay is the most likely cause. Try swapping it for a dry one and see if the problem is cured.
