  • Maestro/Montego Graveyard found E.Yorks

    Hi All,

I was told about this collection of Maestro's and Montego's some time ago and was eager to find where it was as I was also told of a new bodyshell under a sheet but the person in question wouldn't tell me where it was as apparently the owner of the cars doesn't want it to be common knowledge. No sign of the bodyshell and reckon the owner has not been down to them for some time with doors left open and windows down it is fair to say they are all in poor condition, I like a challenge but dont think I would take any of these on!! Take a look.... but dont ask where
    Cheers
    Carl
PS. One might look like a bush but there is a Montego in there somewhere

Excellent pictures, and good detective work!

Maybe you should send those off to Practical Classics for the 'Rust In Peace' section?

I think a few of us should get together and save any bits we can!

Sorry im laughing there, about your "cat" (above)

Yes ,thats is one lucky find,or unlucky, depending on how you look at it!!

And a black mg ,that runs the same plate,as patrick's "cac"!!

Had crossed my mind also but should return to take more photo's to do this collection justice, don't forget not even taken pics of those sheeted over. guess about 10 or 12 cars in total, not withstanding those that are almost buried in undergrowth that I couldn't get to!

                      Cheers

I tend to spend a lot of time out your way through work.

Makes me wonder if I've ever driven past the place.

Arh... you won't get me that easily Mal, reckon you would almost certainly will of done. I am going back to see if I can locate the owner at the weekend, if he is up for selling anything you guys will be the first to know whats for sale and where they are. In the meantime must keep location hush hush as was told in confidence roughly where it was and dont want to break that trust... but Google earth, who would be without it!!

                          Cheers
