I have finally tracked down the blue Maestro VP I have spotted round here alot. Today on speaking to the owner he is fairly enthusiastic, having been on this website once or twice before. I don't think, however, that he wants to become a club member as yet...

      Anyway, here are some snaps.

        Nice, Steve

Today on taking a friend home we were driving down the main road into Stockport and coming the other way was an A reg dark blue Maesty... didnt manage any other details, I was too amazed lol! I also regularly see a blue Special with a red tailgate... I keep waving to him, but all I get in return is a dirty look

          Nice car

          That's great!

B-reg Maestro VP - late enough to have the 86bhp S-Series engine but early enough to have the digital dash and its Zircon Blue.

Possibly my favourite version of the Austin Maestro.

(The big tailgate badges show that it is an S-Series, by the way)

We see alot around here, theres a white Montego estate with a blue bonnet, which has been seen towing maestros around. There must be a secret Montego/Maestro lover round here lol

 That is correct! I will have to give him one of my badges to put on it. Failing that I could buy the car to put on my badge!

Resurrecting a thread from the dead did anyone spot that tidy monty estate in that police crime solving thing on BBC1 last night? (Sorry I can't remember the name of the program but it starred one of the old Dr Who's as the police chap). They had it racing around a stock car track and looking very very muddy by the end of it. At least the copper seemed proud of it and made sure it got a good wash at the end although he forgot to remove the aerial

Yeah, that's the one, Steve. I pointed it out to the people I was with but they were less than interested that there was a Monty on telly.

                          Oh well.
