That's team 78's race engine which is heavily braced. Apparently the O series head needs all the support it can get in race trim.

yes mate T16 from rover coupe couple years ago.

bottom half engine now fitted, and fitted custom made radiator all alloy keep thing cool, heat rapped down pipe, has it near alternator.

did try heat rap on manifold, but didn't like it so painted in flame prof paint which after painting had to be baked in oven 1 hour misses wasn't happy







next thing to do is go to town on cleaning engine bay, should of done it whilst engine out, but never mind and sort out water pipes has got rid of all black pipes now going to be red.

How did you get the gearbox so clean?

Rad from escort rs, just modified it with extra inlets to tidy up water system, also very slim high powered fan on other side

Waiting on cylinder head to come back from GBE they doing big valve conversion am told another 2 weeks, then got to sort the wiring for emerald Ecu then get mapped, could be end of June before 100% way I want it

cylinder head came today after long delay thought share some photo's before refit.

sadly am at the point the engine of this spec is worth more than the car













Fully ported head and manifold, larger valves, double valve springs with uprated caps, piper uprated cams.

am told this head is good for 400 Bhp if not lot more.

plan is get engine up and running for weekend, will add video of it running when finished.
