  • Help!! my maestro van impounded due to licence revoked

Does anyone know of any insurance company that will allow a relative to drive my van out of the compound? everyone i ring up says they dont cover getting a vehicle out of compound..it will be crushed by the 19th december.

Apparently my licence was revoked in 2009 but i received no notification of it due to being made homeless in 2008 august..i had to live in my van for 4 months until i was rehoused .

IVE only got 1 conviction on my licence which was a 35mph speeding offence in a 30mph zone..i think this is really mean of the police to do this...whats happened to their christmas spirit?

Question still remains, where is it being kept, and do you have the funds to release it?

Got that wrong mate, we don't want it but can't help if neither of us knows where it is.
If you don't know either then we can't help you can we.
            Just saying

If it can be trailered as you say, I would think the location of it would help quite a bit, don't you?

Ah yes a fine defence. How dare they apply the law evenly and consistently in this regard!

Looks like you'll need to find the storage fees, plus recovery costs to a location off the public highway if you fancy seeing your van again.

It makes sense if we are no where near to help!.

And just to put your mind at ease......

I wouldn't have a ruddy van if it was given to me! (and I doubt Jeff would be interested in it as he's a "Monty man".

The only way anyone is going to be able to offer help, is if they have an idea on it's "General Location" and if you are ready to get it released.

IE: have the funds to pay whatever levy is being placed on it in regards to recovery and storage.

If you cannot give us either, then no one can help.

Recovery cost's time and fuel, people are willing to give up there time to help, if they are close enough to do so, and fuel cost's are covered.

No one is asking where it is to try and "get it for them selves"

Oh and the insurance isn't valid as it's not legally roadworthy.

sorry thats wrong...in british law the only driving offence that nullifies motor insurance is if the driver is disqualified which i'm not... had one conviction in the last 5 years doing 35mph in 30mph zone
