  • Mg Maestro trim colur

    Dear All

As part of restoration of my Maestro 2.0i I would like to repaint (with vinyl paint) internal trim.

Can anyone advise as to what colour the grey plastic trim is, and if they have found any commercial product which is a good/close match?

    Thanks

    Andrew

To the best of my knowledge the trim colour for your model is called Granite.
Idont know of any commercial product which would be a near colour match.

MG Interior trim plastics are "Flint",

Granite came in on the 200/400 range, then the Rover Metro/100 .

I tend to use a good multi surface kitchen cleaner on car plastics.
Gets all the crud out of the grain, then lightly treat with bumper gel, which gives back the satin finish.

            rubber bumber paint

I found a grey plastic paint in Halfords to re spray a brown steering cowl, grey. Its pretty close to the original MG grey. Its called Halfords Plastic Bumper Paint, light grey. Obviously I would only spray hard plastics with it, not the dashboard it self!

You are right Mal, it is Flint. Must have had a senior moment. Too many newer Rovers.
