Anyone have on of these beauties* laying about?

Body kits were very "in" in the 80s and early 90s, so this was a product of its time - they don't call 'em spoilers for nothing though, isn't it hideous? I've never seen one of these despite living in the area. I think I might have a colour picture of that somewhere. I'll have a look later, but not on a full stomach!

Marshall were the main dealers in Bedford, Cambridge, St Neots, Huntingdon etc and a massive spare parts operation at Cambridge.

Notice that it says 'will' be produced, I do wonder if any were actually produced, interesting that the grille predates the similar EFi one. Also doesn't say what engine it has

That really is horrendous in every possible way lol, still can see some faint styling cues used on the tickford kit. My turbo still seems to have the original Marshalls number plates on.

You can just about spot the open type head restraints, the thin bodyside moulding and the black door handles, which for around 1984/5 means this one has been based on a 1.3L or 1.6L.

On your marks...get set...go-ooooooo Oh dear

Not that there's anything wrong with a 1.3 or 1.6L. A normal one, that is...

Update: I haven't got a colour pic of this one, I'm getting confused...

Just had another look at this thing, there doesn't seem to be any cooling vents in the bumper. With that grille too I recon if these things were actually built thy would have had overheating problems

Those two tone ones look awful, why go to the bother of colour coding, then give them some underseal effect paint on the bottom of the doors
I do actually remember seeing the maestro advertised in motor magazine I think

                        Rare one:

Better effort than the 'silver dream' lol but but of a let down for a tickford designed kit.

I quite like these, not the best colour though. The later turbo ones are the best in my opinion, it's the only metro I prefer the mk2 over the mk1
