There have been a lot of request's of late in regards to screens.

I thought this may be of interest to those in need.

Thanks Mal for posting this. I'm sure there are also windscreens listed on Rimmers at nearly £300, so this is great.

I'll be needing at least one for the Countryman when the old one is taken out for restoration so this is a much more economical option.

I now just need to trace some NOS Monty windscreen surrounds with chrome insert.

Can the seal which I presume is the surround be charged without removing the windscreen?

Mine came off fine without damaging it. Tho if its stuck on it could be harder. Could be hiding rust and holes mind!

Did you get it back in again ok? Mine needs to come out and is fairly loose. I need to address some minor rust issues and seal the screen as it has a leak

The company in Leeds only have clear screens as I bought the last bronze one which their delivery driver broke when transporting it between depots.

Rimmer charges £45 for P&P of any screen, probably to avoid the above issue!

If it all works out for me tomorrow, National Mobile Windscreens are the way to go. They have manufactured a new one for me which they are going to fit for less than the price of buying one from Rimmer.

I will post when I have pictures of the fitted screen.

Rimmers do allow you to collect screens from them if you happen to live anywhere near Lincoln.

It will be interesting to see how these new screens work out.

I can confirm that, I bought a new back window from them last year and collected it.

                      Hi Oli.

                      Are they tinted or clear?

I did contact the Spares Co-ordinator but I am still awaiting a response...

As they are clear screens Matt, they wouldn't have been any use to you
