Yeah, I'm looking forward to playing with that to adjust the emissions before it's MOT as I know it struggled last year...

Is the alternator at the front or rear? If front you should be able to see the adjustment bracket from the top or bottom of the engine and the adjustment bolt is on the side facing the drivers side inner wing at about 10 o'clock of the alternator if facing it, if rear you will have to remove the front...

Cleaned up the earth leads behind the dash and alls working again now but no idea why I had to do that as I didn't touch it, seat removed and the small nut had fallen in between the carpet and bottom plastic panel under the seat, seat back in, dash back in. Before I put the dash clocks back in properly...Last edited by Jeff Turbo; 10th May 2024, 13:29.

Yeah it is a bit strange as I didn't touch any earths behind the dash, I know where the earth is up near the screen but having a day off of cars today and just washing and polishing my Jag XK8 Convertible and dropping of a wheel to have a new tyre fitted for the Turbo. Will have a look tomorrow and...Last edited by Jeff Turbo; 10th May 2024, 13:26.

Scuttle on and without cracking the windscreen, wipers on, started the car up and the rev counter still isn't correct, turned the heater fan on and that's now not working. Removed the dash yet again and dropped a nut that went under the passenger seat, couldn't find it so as things are not going well...Last edited by Jeff Turbo; 8th May 2024, 15:22.

The problem is not enough material to attach to the windscreen, the 2mm cut out isn't enough. If they made it say 6mm it would work...

Windscreen couldn't be put back in as the surround was rubbish. I bought the correct one from Rimmers but it wouldn't go on the windscreen correctly so I've had to search for something else, think I've found one now and it's on it's way to me for next week
In the meantime dash going in , I've...Last edited by Jeff Turbo; 29th April 2024, 12:26.

Oh well, now back in my lock up. Took quite awhile to find it but seems I got messed about once I posted about it. If not needed or too much damage it would have been ok just to say so and not mess me about.
Not now available as I will keep it for my son in case he needs it in the future....Last edited by Jeff Turbo; 21st April 2024, 13:53.

Power steering rack but you'll have to remove yours first to exchange, not a hard job https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/185901232...Bk9SR9a2gNzeYw
I have a resistor in my spares from an earlier model but should fit, if not it would only be the connection blocks to the loom which you could cut and re-connect....Last edited by Jeff Turbo; 19th April 2024, 12:29.

So much easier , will finish cutting round the sunroof once the windscreen is back in as it's raining again, The windscreen is going back in next Thursday so it'll be water tight again...Last edited by Jeff Turbo; 19th April 2024, 10:06.
