Our Autumn gathering and AGM at the Heritage Motor Museum is fast approaching. As usual it's on Remembrance Sunday (9th November this year), and any of you are welcome to come along. You can join on the day if you wish!

The museum doesn't need any introduction here, and you'll have plenty of time to browse. We've got a room booked for the whole day where I hope to have some particularly rare material from our archives (literature, magazines, press packs etc.) available for anyone interested to browse at leisure, and regalia / back Monstros to purchase. We might even dig out an interesting video or two if there's time.

The AGM begins at 12:30 and the agenda should be with Monstro. It's going to be quite an important one because it's Dave's last as Chairman and I believe we're still somewhat lacking in the Committee department - potentially another two down this year unless we can persuade more ordinary members to take things on... or persuade a retiree to stay!

There will also be a raffle. Hopefully you'll like the prizes, and I'll stick a list up next week. If anyone would like to donate something please do let me know, we'd be most grateful.

It would be helpful to have some idea of numbers coming...

I won't be there I'm afraid, far too far for me to go... :(

That's a shame Chris!

Anyway, the committee will be there en masse and I'm looking forward to a wander round the museum. They change it around every year so there's always something new.

It's a real shame that we're losing a couple of very valued committee members this year because they have been real main-stays in the club over the years - we're looking for equally enthusiastic and dedicated people to take over.

We're all excited about 2009 and are looking forward to seeing some of the membership to look back at this year at the AGM.

It's well worth the journey!

whats the rule on non members coming along? would like to bring missus, is she allowed to sit in, but not vote? or not allowed to listen in to our inner workings at all?

As far as I know, non members are more than welcome, but obviously will not be allowed to vote.

Of course - but go easy on the tea and biscuits - they're member funded! :)

You may also have to pay for access to the museum... but I suspect if you didn't clearly announce that one of you was a non member...

I've had a couple of telephone enquiries about the AGM and one person calling to make a definite booking.
