I was wandering if anyone who uses the classified ads section recieved an email from a mikefred@jojomail com?
"Interested in MAESTRO for sale......"
I'm only selling PARTS you muppet! Why can't people take the time to read the ads?!:rage:
Anyway, sounds pretty dodgy to me. What's a cell number, anyway?

Cell Number is the american term for a mobile phone number.
For some reason americans call them cell phones. (They always have to be different)

Let me guess, did it ask you if you could arrange for the car to be shipped over to America and offer far more than a Maestro would ever be worth?
It's almost certainly a scam - I think there's a robot that spiders classifieds pages like ours and sends the same email to everyone regardless. Probably goes something like:
if pagename="classifieds.html"
then
//search for email addresses
find "mailto"
sendmail
to: [emailaddress]
subject: [nameofcar]
message: "I'm interested in [nameofcar]... etc. etc."
A cell number should be the number of the cell these people are locked away in!

Yeah, it was a bit like that. I just had another read of it and the spelling is terrible! Give it a miss, I think!
I don't think I'll give out my email address like this again. There's another site I go to with a message board (To do with my Toyotas), and whenever I started a thread with a question about "Oil Filter part numbers", for example, people would email me with an answer instead of posting it on the thread! Some people. Ah well!:mad:
