Well,
JOE passed second at second attempt! New shocks all round did the job. having cleaned all the gunge of the bottom of the engine and anywhere else underneath I was quickly able to see that the oil leak was coming from the oil pressure sensor. New one purchased and fitted!
Next obstacle: the only advisory I haven't fixed is "offside inner front (track rod)
ball joint has slight play".
The parts lists indicates a 'repair kit' (at £80+), but seemingly not a ball joint as such
Does anyone know if this indeed the part I need or is there a simpler way?
Is the replacement a tricky operation?
It is a PAS rack from a later donor car although I'm not sure from which type it came. Simonr knows!
