Anyone else going? This will be G51's first outing to a show this year  Hopefully the weather will be kind! http://peace.13thsog.com/emoticons/praying.gif

There's a big clue in the thread title, Stephen ;) But if you mean where specifically in Garstang, it's at Hamilton House on the A586, near St Michael's. Anyone thinking of coming, punch PR3 0TB into your satnav/routefinder (luddites can of course use the old fashioned way of a 'map')

What time does it start? When will you be there?

Show is from 10:00 - 16:00; usual time for these kind of shows. We should be there about lunchtime.

I've just checked the ticket, last car's in by 11:30...so I should be there sooner than I previously said.

Weather will determine whether or not we go :( Call me a plastic classic car enthusiast, but fine weather is an important part of the experience for me. I can't bring myself to trudge round a muddy field of old cars in crap weather. I'm even pretty easy going with my definition of "fine weather": all I ask for is it to be dry without 40mph+ winds. Is it asking too much in July?

Bah, the only 2 I've done this year were like that at times, one was a monsoon!

Well we're still here :( I'm very much a fair-weather enthusiast. It's a vital part of the whole experience for me. Those who like trudging round a muddy field of old cars in the rain are more than welcome to do so, but I'm not among them.

Maybe if the weather clears up this afternoon we could still go for a run out somewhere with it  Got to admit at the moment I don't feel we're getting enough enjoyment out of this car to justifiy the annual price of a tax disc and MOT. Of course that's totally down to how we choose to use the car (a weekend fair-weather toy), but for various reasons (not all weather related) it's not getting the use it should. Maybe the time has come to consider passing it on to someone else.

Tell me about it. I've just been out to cover my LHD Maestro and it started to belt it down as I was passing the belt underneath, so I just got under the car for shelter. It wasn't even jacked up! :o

You can't sell the Turbo, John! It needs someone like you who will keep it in good conditions etc. so it is ultimately preserved well into the future!

If you are going to sell it John, make sure it is to someone who can & WILL take care of it. It is a MINTER inside & out & deserves to stay so.

But I suppose juggling 3 cars when you only have one person who can drive is not easy, so I can see why you might consider it.

Yeah exactly. Mind you it seems that most people who sell good ones end up wishing they'd not. I don't have the only low-mileage MG Turbo in 'unwelded' original condition, but none the less they're pretty scarce.
