I have a G reg maestro van but i cannot source a set of alloys for it. Neither maestro or montego wheels will fit. Rover 800 wheels bolt on but are the wrong offset and the tyres rub the suspension. Any ideas?

Rover 200 alloy wheels should fit. They have the same PCD anyway both are 100.
Well I do hope they fit, as we have bought some to go on our van.

I have a couple of steel rover 200 wheels that i have just tried on the back of my van & - They don't fit.
The stud pattern and centre hub size is different.
Why can't austin make all maestro hubs the same?

Erm they should be the same, as the PCD is 100mm and there are 4 studs. Not sure about the centre size yet. Which rover 200 were they off? the mk1 that looked a bit like a maestro? Mine are off of a Mk2 which definatly have a 100mm PCD. The vans have a very common PCD so most alloy wheels should fit hopefully. Maestro cars have an odd PCD which is common only to older british cars and the MGF. If you do a search for PCD or alloys you'll find it is a common problem not to be able to find a set of alloys for a car but there are loads around to fit the van.

Hi,
The rover the steels came from was a 1990 (early mk2) 216gsi with 175/65x14 tyres on them.

If you are buying new wheels can they not make them up with the correct fittment. Alternativly why not use thin spacers to increase the offset.

I didn't think of the spacer idea. I have loads of rover 800 wheels lying around.
They only need to move the wheel out by about an inch max.

I have an 820si mk1 breaking & i'm currently thinking of doing a 16valve conversion on my maestro van with the engine & box.
