hello im new and thought i would come over and say hello im after a maestro turbo just a few things first what 2 look out 4 when buying one what insurance group are they in and do they come in 2 the classic insurance group thank people

You, me and lot of other people are after one.

A genuine one is rare and desirable - only 505 ever made. A genuine one should qualify for classic insurance but their group is high, it'll be somewhere on the maestro website but 17 rings a bell. Nothing really to look for other than a blown turbo, and all the other usual maestro things.

If you aren't after a genuine one there are a few converted cars out there. T16 conversions are in general faster than the standard turbo engines that were in maestros (O series). Or of course you could convert a car yourself with either the O series or T series engines (or if you are brave another type)

two ov my m8y have them one has red f reg and green g reg but the other m8 has a g reg red one full engine rebuild big turbo exhaust total respray new roof lining proper minter so im going 2 look at that one in a few weeks time
