Hi, I.m new to this board, and would welcome some expert advice. Some years ago ,I purchased a brand new ,boxed Lucas distributor, listed as suitable for the Maestro 1.3...I intended to use this to convert one of my vehicles to Electronic Ignition, but I never went ahead with the project. I'm hoping that someone can identify the distributor, which has the following markings on the body: ADU 8524...41955K ....3787...On the box it has D6147 marked...I also bought a second hand black box to use with this set-up, this a Ducellier unit marked 521007D...Any information gratefully received..Many Thanks,Ron.

Hi, as I said in my previous posting, all I need to know is if this distributor is for a Maestro, and if it will fit other BL models? regards,Ron.

I don't recognise those numbers. According to Haynes mine is a Lucas 65 DM4 with the amplifier box on the distributor body. Earlier ones with the amplifier box on the engine bulkhead are Lucas 59 DM4. I can't see any other markings on it

PS: Although the Haynes manual shows a space between '65' and 'DM4' others appear not to. This makes a difference when you search for one on google. I get nothing searching for 'Lucas 65 DM4' but remove the space and search for 'Lucas 65DM4' brings up several, as they were apparently fitted to the Mini as well.
