Why would you want to show your brother in his car?

Plenty of events darn sarf, shouldn't be hard to find something. :)

Ardingly I've since learned might not happen for us because they're a bit oversubscribed, but next year perhaps.

If we can get a small group in attendance at some of these Southern shows it'll be no bad thing - I know some find the midlands events a bit too far.

Maybe someone - and I'm NOT volunteering cos I'm already busy doing it for another club - could co-ordinate a list of events if all us Southerners emailed them in as soon as we hear of them? I'd love to join other members at an event or two but my summer's pretty booked up by this time of year!

Are you not allowed to take Mk2 Cavaliers to shows or something?

I always appreciate seeing a good Cavalier, they're just so rare!

No, it's a classic.

Sure your not thinking about chav'd up mk3s?

When Rich and I have been to recent Allegro Club NW Area monthly meets, the most common car in our area of the car park was... the Mk II Cavalier.

Like buses, see none for months then two Mk II Cavs turn up at once  ...

It would be good to see a Cavalier (or a multiple thereof) alongside a Montego, to compare and contrast, at a Show :) . We're pretty pragmatic here ;) .

You had me worried there so I googled to doublecheck. Definitely the model I was thinking off used to see loads of them in the mid 90s rusted out.

The confusion arises because no-one remembers the Mark 1 Cavalier - probably because:

1. They stopped building them in 1981
2. When you see one, it looks extremely similar to a Chevette
3. Like a lot of cars there are very few left!

Speaking of which when did you last see an Astra Mk2? I haven't seen one of them in years either.
