Hello

I recently purchased a NASP maestro diesel with a short MoT. The bodywork is good and its just flown its Mot for another 12 months. The bodywork on my Monty TD is deteriorating rapidly and only has a few months MoT left.

Question: If I were to transplant the TD engine into the Maestro would it be a straight forward fit as regards driveshafts, engine mounts etc?

I guess the exhaust will have to be adapted, but I cannot see any other issues or am I missing something?

cheers

james

It should drop straight in, I would use the monty gearbox but you should be able to retain the drive shafts.

Yes a straightforward fit, the exhaust is needed from the donor as it is a larger bore but otherwise a straight swap. Use the turbo diesel gearbox as it has the longer gear ratios.
