I dont want to scare anyone, but I thought I should share with you something I was told yesterday.......!

I am a warehouse manager for a large supermarket, and one of my delivery drivers from Haydock was telling me about the problems the depot is having with Biofuel. Since Monday, all petrol/diesel must contain at least 2.5% biofuel (unless I am mistaken). This Haydock Depot has been using it for a few weeks to trial it, and their findings are kinda worrying. The fuel was been causing problems to the fuel filters (these huge Volvo/MAN trucks have 2 filters fitted), and they are constantly having to change them. It is proving to be a knightmare for them!!

The reason why I am posting this thread is to make everyone aware of possible fuel/fuel filter-related problems. I guess only time will tell if this affects our cars or not.

Cheers

I saw that in the paper the other day - been kept a bit quiet hasn't it? Presumably so that people didn't protest about it before it happened........

In germany it has to be 10% with petrol, but for now it has been scraped because over 1 million cars can not use it something to do with lubrication of the engine.

So yet again the huge green bandwagon rolls on and on ,filling land fill with old filters but holding its big green festered head up high and telling mr and mrs average how good they are cos their car is now running on plants!!!

Most fuel has has 1% biofuel in it for years now and no-one has noticed.
Our cars will run happily on it so no need to panic.
