Photos show it to be very tidy, except for knackered headlining
Ideal companion to F170 perhaps ;)

why are there so many cars on ebay that say "short MOT/no MOT" "only done 1 mile since last MOT" - "can't see any reason for it not to pass the next one".
Why can't these people take the car through the MOT, no problem getting a pass, the seller knows it will pass and add the cost to the starting cost of the auction, I am sure they would sell it a lot easier.

That does look very nice. Tempting... and not too far from me. Uh-oh...
I didn't know they did the Special in that colour; I thought it was only in red, white and blue.

When our resident Special expert sees this, he will no doubt confirm that Specials were available in 5 colours: White Diamond, Henley Blue, Flame Red, Stone Grey and Atlantic Blue

====I'm sure you know the answer already but - 10% of sellers are bone idle and really cannot be bothered (so you stand to get a bargain) and the other 90% are lying b@stards that know the car's a pile of cr@p (so caveat emptor). Now let's discuss how to tell the one from the other... 'cos I don't know that bit :-(

White Diamond, Henley Blue, Flame Red ('89), and Pulsar Silver (non-coloured grille) are the only colours I know of on the Maestro Special.
BTW: Who is the Special Expert? ;)

Blimey! That's so close to me I could probably fall out of bed and land on it! Looks good too, not much rust to be seen (I couldnt see any, but I expect i'm wrong!) If I hadn't bought the 309 i'd probably toddle on my merry way and have a look at that car, speaking of which if anyone would like me to go and look at it for them (purely out of interest you understand, i'm not nosey at all!) then just ask, i'll give you my independent unbiased view!!
Ricky.

I thougth I'd check out my "Todays Cars" book from early 1990. I was nearly right; the colours were White Diamond, Henley Blue, Atlantic Blue, Flame Red, Pulsar Silver and Stone Grey: 6 colours, not the five I originally said (I missed out Pulsar Silver)

even for that condition I would say that van is a bit pricy - I prefer the look of this car on ebay (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2455407086&category=18308) .

....More than likely to have gone to a non-enthusiast to use as a bit of a workhorse.

Interesting DeLorean, nice to see a non Irish regisrered example with the grey trim although this is an LHD version. They made a handful of RHD's only. For the stainless steel bodywork, the cleaning product of choice is apparently Mr Sheen! John Z DeLorean ended up in jail.

D'oh!
I thought the DeLoreans also came with Wire Wool to enable the removal of those 'embarassing stains'? Bird Poo, for example...

"New Flash Excel does the hard work......"
Don't talk to me about bird poo! The scatty old dear a few doors down always chucks bread out for the pidgeons, and I'm always having to wash the results off my Yota's out in the layby!
In fact the best thing for getting rid of bird stains in my opinion is a 12-bore!:rage:
(Here's me wishing that all Maesties and Monties were made with Stainless Steel!);)
