Stereo broken!!!

The stereo in the VP Metro is dead :(

I put a tape in it, it started to play slowly and i tried to eject it, but it didn't!!!

I removed the tape by taking the lid off, found out that plastic bits in mechanism were broken. Is it possible to change the mechanism over with one from the breakers? If so, how easy is it? Or has anybody got a spare they would be willing to sell?

The part number of the stereo is DRC 6560

Not quite sure which model of tapedeck you have there but on one of the philips it was a VERY common problem to play tapes too slowly and was something to do with plastic bits in the mechaism. If you search you'll come across the same prolem and someone described how to do a swap of the mechanism.
