Okay, following on from a previous thread, who's got the lowest mileage Maestro? - both in actual mileage but also according to its SMI (Simon's Mileage Index) where you divide the mileage by the age in years of the car.

Mileage SMI
F153JUE: 116,500 or 7766.6
A335BWV: 47,300 or 2365
A251HPR: 24,000 or 1200

I found that amusing Simon's Mileage Index :) (Very good idea tho as gives a better idea of a cars life)

Mileage

Geoffery 1.6 VP 1983: 32,000
George 1.3 Clubman 1992:116,000
Jane Camper 1992: 193,000
Scrap Car 1992: 110,000

SMI

Geoffery 1.6 VP 1983: 1600
George 1.3 Clubman 1992:10,545
Jane Camper 1992: 17,545
Scrap Car 1992: 11,000

I think your going to win with an SMI index of 1200. Who is ever going to beat that

Since 2001 (engine swap), 46,000m SMI: 23,000

So i've not beaten it then!
Dave.

The SMI of my car is 2,400. As the SMI is simply the average number of miles per year the car has done, I find that a surprisingly low number!

Is this possibly the lowest SMI? When we sold our mk1 '84 MG Metro earlier this year it was 19 years old with 16,000 miles, giving it a SMI of just 842!!!!

F322FRB 150,700 miles; SMI:10047. However for my replacement engine the SMI would be 16667!

Bought my 1.6 Mayfair in Jan. this year via an ad in the classifieds on this site. It was one elderly owner (retired from driving) and had 14,000 on it then, which has now crept up to 19,000. Cost £450 plus a couple hundred spent since. Very pleased with it, as indeed I was with the 2 previous Maestro's. All have paid for themselves countless times.

Forgot to say it's a 1989 one.

29,500 Miles
SMI= 1735

Pretty low! Used to be owned by someone who lived in the city, thus didn't use it much atall. Nice.:)
