Hi if you can't source an original part could something like the Samco Superflex hose be made to fit, to get you going?

I too would suggest Samco, they have a website, and I am sure they do "generic" hose parts, such as elbows, straight lengths and metal bends etc to put them together. I am sure you could get around it this way.

Ive got a 1300 top hose here , i belive.

its brandnew - about 20 years ago..

Part number nam 2526 -

my cars running a 1600 rad as its slightly larger , and my engine runs hotter due to higher compression .. so i guess the hoses can cross over? im not sure on the thermostat housing on the 1600 compared to the 1300 ?

The top hose on my 1300 van looks like this one but a little shorter. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/AUSTIN-ROVER-MAESTRO-TOP-RADIATOR-HOSE-VAN-DIESEL-NEW_W0QQitemZ270181284351QQihZ017QQcategoryZ10414Q QssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem It would probably be the same if you cut the end off that has the slight curve in it.
My hoses have been on since the van was new in 1991 and still look in almost new condition. They must be using better rubber than they used to?
I worked in a garage in the early 1970's and I recall hoses only lasted a few years then.

Hi
the hose I am after runs from a pipe at the top of the engine to the oil cooler
and joins the engine block just above the oli filter, situated at the bottom of the engine(if that makes sense!)
thanks
