Today, my latest eBay purchase arrived in the post. A daily occurence for RDGelder...

It is an Austin Rover keyring, as pictured below.

Is this what was supplied with Maestro's and Montego's new?

What, if any, were the other original ones like?

At £7.50, this was a bargain, as another one recently sold at more than £10.

Anybody got any interesting keyrings to show off?

More than likely they varied by dealer and year, there was a Maestro key fob with a round shaped leather backing too, and a cheap plasticy one (not sure if this was a genuine AR accessory). Mine only cost £2.50, although is probably a reproduction...

I have a Maestro keyring on Hexie's keys, and a Vanden Plas Owners Club keyring on the same bunch. Muddle's key fob is purple leather with a silver oblong with "Maestro" written in turquoise, and I am terribly grateful to the person who sent it to me for doing so :)

I have the round Maestro keyring on leather backing. I will try and scan it and post the pic.

Later that same night...

Not a great image, but I did use a flatbed scanner instead of a digital camera!

heres my keyring, cost a about £2.00 from local motor factors. Its not a proper ARG one, and its not actually the correct badge, but its not bad.

This is what you would have got from the dealers when new - a weedy metal ring and a metal key number tag:

This is supposed to be a replica of those issued with monty turbos
