Prima Fuel Pump

Anyone come across this one?

So. I bought this fuel pump from Ebay's.
NOS, looking good. With a huge priming lever.

I tried to replace the old pump on the Perkins block. But found out that the engine could not make a full crank. One way ore the other the pick up lever blocks the ex centric journal on the cam shaft.

Putting back the old one again was a doddle.
So what went wrong?

err, do you mean a lift pump? Not a fuel pump? I am getting confused as the fuel pump goes no way near the cam, the lift pump however uses the cam to continuously steady the flow of fuel.

Maybe post the item number so we can see the item you bought

right, the lift pump. The box says fuel pump but it's the pump that feeds the Bosch distributor pump.

It has been a while since I bought it but I will try to find a picture of it.
After all, a picture can say more than a thousend words!
