Hi no worries, welcome anyway, :) lots of Metro people here and you may even find the info you require. What are you looking for?

Hey there,

Welcome to the forums - yes there are a lot of Metro-lovers here as well so you're in the right place.

Fire away - what are the symptoms of the problems you're having?

You might like to post them in the Off Topic forum and I'm sure others (perhaps especially Gary (G-Force)) above will be able to help you out.

Happy motoring!

Simon R.

Hi

You may find engine info here, the metro has a similar lump to the 1.3 maestro/montego.

other sites would be metropower and www.triple-m.co.uk

well the prob with the gearbox is that when you select drive and hit the throttle there is a kind of squeeling noise and definately alot of slippage.relax the throttle and slippage and squeeling will reduce but not disappear.going up through the gearbox through 1st 2nd and 3rd wrks fine when engine and oil are warm.a short run up the road the other day saw the car reach 65mph without to much bother.there were a few raised eyebrows though as i've already started to strip the car down i.e. it has no bonnet/number plates etc. lol
