I know some Maestro owners have added an indicator to their car to see in the "cockpit" when the knock sensor is activated. How exactly is this done?
Mine can be a bugger for preignition sometimes, and sometimes seems to lose power. My thought is it's adjusting the ignition map because the knock sensor is triggered. I can hear it pinking well enough, and it deals with it in seconds usually...but it'd still be a nice thing to know for sure!
I had a scary moment today..coming up a steep hill on the way to work, foot to the floor, kickdown engaged, 65MPH passing a BMW (heh.), I hear "WARNING! Low oil Pressure." 4 times..no light, just the voice...
I think (I hope) she's mistaken...my level is full..
