Hi,
Does anybody know if the front doors on a Maesty Van are the same as a car?
Thanks Biglad

I would hope so, as the ones on our van are from a 2.0 EFI maestro.

Yes they are, BDA 31002/3. Montego ones go on too.

I'll second that. The driver's side door on mine was originally from a VDP.

I am pretty sure Monty estate doors fit the Maestro, viceversa.... but Monty saloon doors don't fit the Maestro, viceversa....

I dont think Monty doors fit maestro's - regardless which monty. The lower half is the same, but the frame welded to the top is different - shallower windscreen.

*I think* but may be wrong on this!

Monty front doors yes, Monty back doors saloon or estate, no, because the frame is different on both.

That's right because the only basic difference between a Maestro and a Montego front door is that on the latter there are upstanding lugs welded onto the upper part of the skin to accommodate the heavy plastic window sill trim, and this might look nice on a van. It also brings into play the possibility of adding different door trim cards from the Montego - especially the moulded type or the later ones with the inbuilt tweeters.
