Driving down to Scunthorpe yesterday, I was overtaken by a van, so I flashed the headlights to let him know he was passed me. When I pulled the stalk to flash the lights the wipers did one sweep of the windscreen.
I tried it again back home last night and the same thing happened.
Has this happened to anyone else? I presume this is a problem with the steering column stalks.

It sounds like you pulled the wrong stalk!

Due to the different stalk functions on my two cars I've often been known to wash my windscreen at someone who really deserved a blast of the horn...

But yes, assuming you didn't use the wrong stalk it sounds like a wiring fault some where near the switches, doesn't it?

Thats what I thought, but it was definitely the correct stalk.

Just checked it now and its back to normal. This car fixes itself.
