Check out my website:

http://www.angelfire.com/home/mat99v/

It is not as good as Maestroweb - but it features the MG Maestro including MG1600, EFI/2.0i and MG Turbo. I have owned all three and my site has the following pages:

History of MG Maestro
Detailed description of all three models
Buyers' Guide
Owners' Gallery
Guestbook
Austin Rover brochures (1983-91)
MG Maestro Magazine adverts
Tips and Advice

My MG Maestro Turbo had a full respray in 2001 in Two-pack so actually a quick wash with a decent car shampoo is all it needs to get it looking shiny and new.

Events page updated with reviews of events from the South West Area MG M Group. If you went to any of these and you would like pictures posted, then please e-mail them to me.

Here's me at Powderham in July 2003 with my MG Maestro 1600 which did 515 miles that weekend - nearly 1% of its total mileage!

...and on the left of Matthew in the above picture, it looks like MG Maestro Turbo No. 2: the white press-car. Not seen that for a couple of years.

Of the three known survivors from the original gang of four press-cars, it's certainly in the best condition, sadly.

Yes, Gary Baker takes it to half a dozen or more shows a year - mainly in Devon. It was at Maestro Birthday, Yeovil Festival of Transport, Powderham and Culm Valley Rally.

If you look at the main Turbo page you'll see a bigger picture of it and there is also mention of it on the Culm Valley write up.

I have seen the black and green press cars (pictures of these in Turbo gallery) but the red one is rarely seen. It was the car that appeared in the May 1989 Autocar and Motor.

Any ideas where it might be?

The other Red press car which was at the October 1988 Motorshow has recently surfaced and was at Stoneleigh last year. Shame about no.4 - let's hope someone has saved it?
