So what do people think about Christmas? Do you enjoy it and look forward to seeing santa, or do you think that it has become too commercialised?

I like Christmas for the time off work and the time I spend with the family and at the pub with mates. I also love all the food and the TV! ;) I dislike anything to do with presents though as I think the focus on commercialism detracts from the spirit of the season (not in any way a religious spirit in my case!) and haven't given or received any presents for about seven years now, and I much prefer it this way. I certainly wouldn't waste time and money sending cards either!

I really look forward to christmas drinking round town especially after the last day of work. its really good cos theres more people out and everyones in a good mood.

as for xmas decorations, they annoy me cos they're up too soon, spoiling the xmas period cos your used to them

I had this conversation at work and we came to the conclusion that christmas was about two weeks off work, christmas dinner, and lots of drinking and all that goes with it ;)

I enjoy the "happiness" all around, the atmosphere, the drinking and food, the chance to get utterly blotto. I like to "dress" H870 up with tinsel eyebrows and spray snow, and have my "drunken elf with a finger out" poster in the boot..usually with "Merry Fookin' Christmas" under it.

I like my fibreoptic dashboard tree..;) More than anything else, I look forward to the free skidpan practise..;)

As for pressies...hmm...it's rare it's a surprise now, but usually we use it as an excuse to get things we'd like..for instance, my pressie to both me and mum is a Kodak Easyshare CX6230, at £115. Mum will use it for her family history bumpf, Myself and Jem will use it for our respective websites and fun.

More a social holiday, than a commercial one in my family..;)
