2inch exhaust

I have a MEMS 2.0I MG Monty
am contemplating fitting a new exhaust system with a 2inch pipe.
am purchasing the central and rear sections from advert on club board.
question ??? can i use the existing front pipe or will i have to change frontpipe OR get a stepper connection to fit between frontpipe and central section. also will i notice any difference in performance.

You need a adapter piece, that can either be clamped or welded into place on the downpipe.

The exhaust system on an Efi is VERY restrictive and you should notice quite a bit of difference above 3k, where the EFi usually struggles. 2 inch is about the right size as well, any more and you risk losing gas speed which would drop low-down torque. It will be quite loud as well.
