My A plate oporto red 1.3 has decided to have a strop with the temp gauge.

Switch on and the gauge go's straight to red for a while before settling to its proper place ( and some times just back to the bottom) :banghead:

Pretty sure some one said it was the fuel ecu above the glovebox thats gone looney.

Anybody have a known good one going spare?

Mal.

Before condeming it, try unplugging and plugging this ECU back in a few times. The edge connectors on the unit quite often become corroded making a bad contact. Simply re-seating the connectors can often cure a whacky gauge. The fuel ECU on these is screwed behind the dash where the drivers knee is (you'll just see 2 black screws on a vertical section of the dash).

I'll try that when next up at the barn.
