Hi,

My drivers side window is sticking and grumbling a bit. I've tried greasing the two runners at the bottom, but I'm guessing there's a load more mechanism hidden in the door.

I don't really fancy taking the whole door to bits, but is that the only way to get at it?

Cheers

Justin

Yep. you have to remove the door card and fixtures to get at it all.

When the window is down you can do the runners, but only when the window if fully closed(whith door card removed) can you get to the remainder of the mechanism.

Cheers for the help.

Well I've greased everything I can lay my greasy mitts on and also had the top seal out and cleaned the window where normally you can't get to, there was a fair old chunk of dirt there. It's better, but it still sticks a little when it's about 2 inches of the way down. Going up it's fine...

Think I'll leave it till it gets worse

It could be that one of the nuts/bolts that secure the vertical runners is loose,
Causing it to 'scew' out of line when the glass is lowered.

Might be an idea to check all 'fixing' on the mechanism + channels.
