How did the x-part tour go?

Very well.
First had a talk, discussion and video of the acquisition of xpart from MG Rover and the old Rover factory. Then guided tour of the warehouse holding xpart parts, the way it works and storage. Then another talk, discussion, video and pics about MG NAC in China.
Followed by a discussion about the future plans of xpart and various other things relevant to 'older cars'. Not allowed to take any pics of the warehouse unfortunately but we were given a goody bag on the way out.
Not too bad at all

I'm putting some notes together for the next Monstro, in the hope they'll be of interest. Quite a fascinating afternoon really.
The distribution centre itself is an unbelievably huge warehouse facility but as you'd expect it's costing them money to store all these parts, so they'll have an ongoing review of older items of stock that aren't selling and keep things based on forecast demand. The positive thing that came over is just how much they are interested in the heritage side of things even though it's only a very small part of the business to them.
