maestro turbo smoke

can anyone advise my mg turbo maestro only smokes when it comes off boost. the intercooler pipes dont seem to have any oil in them so this is puzzeling me i would have thought the turbo seals where leaking but not sure now

If it is smoking on the over-run then it can be valve stem seals that are leaking oil into the cylinders rather than turbo oil seals leaking. The usual giveaway is a puff of blue smoke when reapplying the throttle after a gearchange.
