I was listening to Jazz FM last night while I was going to sleep and an item on the the 11:00pm news made my ears prick up.

A woman driver - from I think Kettering - received a speeding ticket recently which claimed a local speed camera had clocked her doing 484mph down a 40mph road in her G-reg Austin Maestro Special.

The authorities admitted to their mistake, saying that the ticket should have read 48.4 and that the decimal point was missing.

The woman says she is really impressed with the alleged speed of her beloved car, but commented that it usually starts to shake around 80mph.

Her husband who maintains the car says he is now waiting for NASA to contact him requesting a blueprint of the car's engine.
