Barstool? Gotta see that!:D

It could well be faster than an MG Turbo - until the cab breaks up.

I remember when I went to truck race meetings in the 80's and early 90's and there was a speed record truck around that was once an airport catering truck which had a 27 litre Rolls-Royce Merlin V12 engine.

Hi,

For those of you who are interested the Viper 20102 was fitted to the jet provost mk 3+4. The MK 5 used the 20202 which was also fitted to the Dominie HS 125. I work on these a/c during the late 70's and calculated a mpg of about 10.
These engine do not have reheat (afterburners for any yanks about)
Engine rpm is about 20,000 at idle (30% 40%if I remember correctly) A/c measure rpm in % of max.
Best thing was that if it injested a small bird it did not do alot of damage.

Please correct me if I am wrong(there will be one of you who can), it was along time ago

cheers

Gordon (RAF retired. what? what?):)

I WANT ONE.

Wonder if anyone has done a twin engined maestro van?

2.0 turbo or EFi in the front and V8 in the back.

That would certainly be swift.
