no spark 20 efi

hi there

can any body help me ? got a maestro 2.0efi of ebay last week, it drove home ok & started ok a few times after.(still warm) but now no spark,i have got 12v @coil but no high tension side. alredy changed coil,& module box,but still same problem.cheers turbofreak.

Hi, problem could be with the crankshaft sensor or the wiring to it. Pull back the rubber cover on the crank sensor multi plug make sure the wires are not broken. Check continuity between sensor plug and ignition ecu, if ok try a new sensor.

hi there any body got any idear where the crank shaft sensor is on my efi

In a very awkward place - its located at the rear of engine alongside the flywheel.

just got it started there was corrosion on the plug from the crank shaft sensor to the ecu a quick clean & she started, thanks 4 you help.
