Does anyone know if the underbonnet soundproofing from a Montego will fit a Maestro?

Also, how does one go about fitting mudflaps on a Maestro with metal bumpers?

No, it won't fit, completly different pressing.

As regards the mudflaps, if you have them, it should be fairly obvious how they fit, the fact you have metal bumper's makes no difference.

Thought I'd bring this thread back up as I would like to fit soundprofing into GGT. Does anyone know where I could get some suitable stuff from, and if so, how much?

Steve.

You could try the soundproofing from a Maestro Diesel. Several trim companies produce kits, for example Prestige. I fitted an "Acoustikit" to my mate Jim's Maestro City and that made quite a difference-mind you that was in 1995. I wonder if you can still get these?

...and i will be able to tell you how easy the mudflaps will be to fit...Rover should have them in for me next week.

If they're anything like the spare MG set I have waiting to be fitted to my Turbo (in warmer weather!) they clamp on, so no drilling is required

Two clamps on the mudflap, use a 10mm spanner, can't get much easier than that..:)

Greese the threads well before you fit them, otherwise they never come off.

Not just any old grease, copper grease. After a year or two they'll be impossible to remove without snapping the bolts unless you do this.
