Can anyone let me have the details for people who sell body panels for my maestro turbo diesel. Also if anyone has had bodywork done on the maestro please can you let me know what and approx cost so I have some knowledge before I go to my local bodywork man. Thanks John:cool:

Hi,
Cost of body work will vary from place to place, but as a general guide, plan on 'upto' £150 per side for rear wheel arch replacement depending on how bad each arch is.
Good used doors can be anything from £20-30 each for a 'bare' door (no glass or fittings)
Or from Rimmer Bro's for £470 per set of 4 + carriage.
Bonnets and Hatch's are also available from Rimmer Bros (and rover) but there are'nt many left. Prices vary.
Used one's will depend on how little rust /work is needed on them.
Wings are still available from rover and hadrian panels and can also be found on ebay, anything from a tenner each (ebay) upwards.
Sill panels for the maestro hatch are around £45 per pair from hadrian stockist's (this is what i paid a few months ago)
rear arch repair panels are upto £18 pounds each and are also from Hadrian.
Basically its best to see whats availabe 2nd hand from places like the classified section on this forum, as well as contacting MMOC spares (if a member) to see what is currently out there.
Other places to check are local scrap yards, Forums relating to these cars (EG: MGM Group / Triple-M.co.uk / mgcars.org.uk / Ebay / ) or the various " free ad" sites such as 'adtrader'/ Loot + preloved etc.
Many of the owners on here and other forums have in the past had clear outs of excess spares, so a wanted ad on any of them should give you a few options.

Thanks for the advice, much appreciated. I have a 1994 Nightfire Red turbo diesel with about 105,000 miles onthe clock, just purchased. I also have another 1994 TD (green) that is off the road as it needs a bit of work! I love these cars, people can take the **** as much as they like but I think they are fantastic cheaper than buying a good bike from Halfords.
I used to have a 1994 white TD that i used for daily transport from Dorset to London return journey each day.
Other cars include gas converted Subaru Imprezza, a landrover discovery (same switches as maestro!) and a suzuki sj413. All my vehicles work hard for a living but all have a special place in my heart.
