Hi Folks,
Considering hes spent over £10,000 i do`nt think £2500 is that much for an 8v injected turbo

Not wishing to get into any arguments here, :) I have seen it time and time again, within other car related circles I move in, where folk have chucked seemingly endless amounts of cash into such bottomless pits, only to find they don't get anywhere near their investment returned when they come to sell it. £2500 is still a large wedge of cash for what I am affraid looks to be a pimped up Monty'...EFi, Turbo or otherwise..... & with a burnt / dropped valve to boot. I rest my case.

I know that I wont get anywhere near the amount back that I have spent on my modified MG Montego Turbo. Yes it also has an aftermarket fuel injection system on it.

I wonder how much all these "mods" would effect the cost the insurence, if you where to own up to them that is. ;)

I know something is only worth what some one is willing to pay for it but if I was the owner I would hang onto the car until some one wanted to buy it at that price as that is really a very reasonable price.
They just have to sit and wait rather than throw it at some one who doesnt all that much care for what they got which is an amazing car, (ok some of it aint to my taste I admit).
If I owned it I would do the repairs to the car before selling it as this would increase its value by £500 at least,
If the valve has been drop be warned some of the bores will be damaged!
i could repair the engine myself but wouldnt stick a price on it until I saw what state the bores are in and the turbocharger as the shaft may be bent,
its not as bad as it sounds, I have done a similar repair in two days
