paint codes

Hello,

I have taken all rust off and half the cars paint!! but have had no joy locating a paint code on the ca. Where did they stamp them? I have a Montego Countryman TD. please help before rust eats it!:giveup:

If you find your car's VIN plate (Open passenger front door and look at base of B-pillar, its the little black and silver plate) you will find at the bottom it has two 3-character codes, one for the interior trim type, and one to identify the paint colour.
