I think Toyota Century may be it. What is your opinion?

By the way, this car is brand new.

Japanese, however, are proud of their sole production V12 model... :p

I remember seeing something on TV about this guy who's into big american custom cars. He imported this wreck that started life as a concept car designed by a priest called the "Aurora". Ugh! Hidious!

Strangely enough, there is an entire website dedicated to this subject. Thakfully, the Maestro & Montego aren't mentioned once!

There is nothing wrong with the Mk4 Astra or mk1 or mk2 Vectra's. Why you think they are ugly i don't know, they are better looking than the Ford's.

Its just a reflection of our own personal opinions i guess...

Everyone has different tastes.

Maybe i'm biased, as we have been spoilt in this household, having had an Astra Mk4 SRi in Silver and the latest Vectra SRi in Jade green. Looks 100000% better than a Mundano.

Leave the poor little yugo out of this!! I've had 2, and while i confess the bonnet droop at the front to meet the grille is a bit much, its leagues better than a panda, and the cinquecento/seicento, which replaced the basic fiat shape! If youre going to pick on one car, it has to be the volkswagen golf mark 2. Admittedly, it's not bad to drive and the right ones are quick and they last well. But then, so is/does a peugeot 309, and a golf looks absolutely horrendous with its square styling and those tiddly round lights, and as if that wasnt enough boy racers up and down the land stick extra square kits on to it and "slam" it to the floor in the vain hope that its going to be written off by the first speed hump! And who put those wing mirrors there?? In a yugo thats acceptable but not in such a complacent and aloof car as a golf!!
Speaking of complacent and aloof, what about nomnating the old shape BMW 5 series?? About as graceful as a four wheeled skip can get i suppose!!
And dont get me started on either the "delightfully angular" Citroen AX, or for that matter the "delightfully angular" yet mechnically flawed Citroen BX!!!!

Only French cars I actually like are the new Renault Laguna (MKII?) and the Citroén C3. (No - not the Pluriel! :o )

Talking of Fiats - does anyone else think the Stilo 5 door hatch looks very much like a 'modern' interpritation of the Maestro?

I think it's just what the Maestro should have looked like after a few face lifts!

I think the Volkswagen Golf R32 is visually a futuristic similarity to the Maestro Turbo - that and the fact that both have been launched around 5 years from the base models. The 98 onwards model Golf has been criticised for being flabby and middle aged just like the Maestro Turbo was when it was released in 88. History repeating on a light scale methinks. Pity the Maestro wasn't 4WD though!

I really like the 5 door Fiat Stilo, especially in the lighter silver/grey/blue metallic colours which pick out the body detailing nicely. It is understated and handsome, yet substantial and seemingly looks well screwed together. Its proportions in my humble oppinion are "just right". Only time will tell if it rusts though. As in the case of the Maestro at one time, Stilo's all seem to be driven by people over 55. The Stilo 3 door does nothing for me and the estate is, well, ugh! I still stick by my guns when it comes to ugly cars-the ugliest most mingingly plug-ugly sick making road toad that ever had the nerve to defile our noble highways and byways has got to be the Renault Vel Satis, poor thing.
