Hi, I'm Terence and I'm new to this wonderful world of the 'Net' and also this excellent site.
I am the very proud owner of a 1989 White MG Maestro EFI, my son has been given my previous Maestro City 1.3, and we have in our garage an excellent Vanden Plas complete leather interior. It has been my intention as well as my sons to have it fitted to his City, as his interior is very shabby indeed. How much of a job is it and will the fantastic 'Digital Voice' be possible to be connected.
Many thanks,
Terence :)

fitting of the seats etc will be simple, just a case of undoing the bolts that hold the seats downand changing the Vp seats over and bolting back down. changing the door cards is very easy too, just remove door handles and storage trays etc, then the cards pull off and the wood efect door cappings just unscrew and screw back on.
the dashboard stuff will be more difficult, for a start you need all the transducers for speed and fuel flow etc to go into the engine compartment.... also there will be some wiring changes, but it is possible I've seen it done in other cars. I dont know exactly how its done but the other interior bits are simple

you wont have any trouble swapping any of the seats, doorcards etc over ( you need a torx bit for the seat bolts though.... the door card job just requires a posidrive screwdriver from memory.
get the interior swaped, then deal with the dash at a later date when you've got all the bits together

Hi and welcome
Do you have the all the bits for the digi dash, i.e. the instrument barnicle, the voice unit, the speaker relay (which should be attached to the voice unit), the speed transducer that screws into the same hole as the speedo cable on thegearbox and the fuel transducer unit.
You may find that the instrument barnicle is a straight plug swap for the currnet carnicle but with a few missing wires which connect for the speed and fuel transducers and possibly the rev counter.
