Alas that time has come. My sister's car failed its MoT last week and is for the chop.

I'm ripping the wiring loom and dash out of it on Saturday but most of the rest of the car is available for free as long as you come and remove it this weekend or soon after. The only exception is the engine and box. If you want them they're £15 because that's what I'll have to pay to scrap the car without them.

There's a complete 65k S-Series engine and 'box with later breather system, carb, brake system, interior (except dash and centre console) and, well, look at the pictures!

All four doors are knackered but the tailgate is almost completely rust-free. The bonnet is sound but suffers from a minor dent on top. Both bumpers are intact and going begging.

I'm taking:

Dash
Centre Console
Loom
Wheels & Tyres
Wings

But the rest is available to whomever wants it.

Ha! Not my sister's driving as it happens...

It was terminal rust in all the wrong places, I'm afraid. Sills, suspension points, seatbelt mounting points.

It also doesn't help that the doors were nearly rotted through too.

Any parts that people want must be picked up this weekend or very soon after - I have no storage space for any more Maestro parts!!!

Simon,

on my 1.3 I have the same hubcaps - in winter at least - but one of them wanted to have a better life and fled... So if you would be able to bring one (or two) to the start of S2N?

Regards,

Alexander

Alex,

There are three hubcaps of that sort on the car and all of them are now yours! I'll bring them to S2N with that MG steering wheel and Gearbox Gaiter.

Looking forward to seeing you there, providing our Daimler makes it to France ;¬)

Thanks!

There's currently a question mark on our Jag: The clutch has failed already... But we will be there. Somehow, in something :)

Alexander

PS: What's that with Keith's rally cars and the clutches: the 216 was slipping when he got it donated. The Allegro lost it 4 days before the event - and now the Jag...

I'm sure his power slides at Gaydon earlier in the year didn't help! :)

Clutch is fine in my Maestro...

...are the wing mirrors up for grabs? are they good & manual? If yes then what about; 2xfront door seals, both front indicators, mudflaps, clock. Thats all I can think of for now. Whilst you are a fair run away, it would be worth it if its gratis! Thanks

Those bits were available as it happens but it all went to the scrapper this morning. Sorry about that.

I wish you'd asked on Saturday because I could have kept it all to one side for you! Never mind, maybe next time.
