Having studied car design at uni i have Been busy designing a bodykit for my maestro, intend to make it using glassfibre and styling foam. I think it maybe a little to max powerish for some but would like to know your thoughts. The car has also lost its indented boot in favor of a smoothed one made by chopping the bottom off and welding in a new flat plate (solved the rusty boot problem!).
Thanks
Paul

Steady on...you'll make it look like an EVO bodied Pug 306! How about a pearl blue and gold respray? Smooth tailgate isn't bad but it could do with some thought as to where the no. plate will go - use a motorbike size one perhaps? When are they going into production?;)

Not 3 bad bit of work there chap! Not sure about the colour, though, but I suppose that's just for design effect. Could a van version be done? It would certainly turn heads at van shows!

Hi Onza100,

Nice one wicked. They will look well trick with the rear quadlights i'm working on. If it looks as half as good as the EVO kit that i'm selling then your onto a winner. Oh by the way 'im getting the first batch of resin and glass to start knocking up the first kits and lights on saturday.

Onza100, please email me privtely at robert.purser@btinternet.com

Hi folks,

Going on his picture it could be the coolest Maestro ever.

Regarding the number plate. It would look best to have a number plate surround in the rear bumper. Thats what I will do when I start work on EVO2 kit.

Thanks for the comments guys. Will have to get the rear view finished and posted up then! It does have the number plate mounted in it and and F-1 style diffuser/central fog light. The sideskirts still could change and also the centre of the front bumper. Did anyone notice the lack of fuel-filler, in the boot! and door handles opened with push buttons under the mirrors! I have also extended the bonnet down a touch and removed anything that makes the car not smooth, ie roof gutters and radio airel. Wait untill you see the interior! The kit is going to be a one off just for my car although I am going to have to make moulds to make it....

Van side skirts is what I want.. Have a MG 2.0i front end but it looks silly as it stops halfway along!
