BL Day, FAO Northern Faction

As you know, next weekend is the BMC/BL rally! For us up north, will we be having our usual route and meet up spots on the day before, as in previous years?

Steve and Chris? Myself and Rich could meet you at the end of the M67 at McDonalds before driving over Woodhead to the M1. There’s the opportunity to meet other people in the lay-by on the A57 just off J31 for other people from that area. Mike? Tony?

Straightforward run then through Worksop to the A1.

How about it? Anyone have any times in mind for that Saturday?

Anyone else fancy joining in? The evenings BBQ/Beer/Camping comes highly recommended.

I will deffo be in the BGT but hope to bring the Monty Turbo as well.

No spares will be traveling with me this year as I will need space for the spares I hope to buy! ;)

As with other shows, there's a group of us who like to travel down the day before and camp over - either at a separate site, or as with the BMC/BL Rally, on the field itself. Your welcome to come and join us. I think the idea being this year, we arrive earlier and claim a better piece of the camping area rather than right in the middle.

I won't see the 40mph limit on the M60 - I'll be coming through the middle of Manchester, hopefully on time to meet you at McB's.

Just finished cleaning the car, inside and out. Treated him to some new tyres (well, transplanted from my last car, but they were only a couple of months old!), and some new wiper blades. Not had time to polish him - looks OK at the moment though :D Also had a rummage through my garage and found some spares to bring with me to 'offload' :)

I'll meet up with Steve at his house in the morning, then we will be collecting John from Piccadilly around 10am. Chris, we will meet you at McB's at the end of the M67 around 10:40. Tony, we can meet you in the layby on the A57/J31 M1 around 12 noon. Simple.

John. We ususally arrive, pitch our tents, stand around and admire our handiwork then make a trip to Tesco when everyone is ready and is settled. Come back to base camp and cook whatever goodies you got yourself at Tesco then crack open the beer!
