Welcome aboard! Hope you're going to post some pics of the Monty :)

If you send me an email or private message with your VIN number and engine number, I'll see if I've got a water pump that'll fit.

Hi Tony,

Congratulations on your purchase. I saw that car on ebay and I thought it looked great. If you plan to keep it a while - new sills and wheelarches will not cost too much and you'll have a fantastic car.

Are you planning to get it MOTed and on the road soon? It would be great to use this summer (especially on days like today)

Does the digital dash and voice sythesizer still work? The computer is much better than the one on the MG Maestro and Maestro VP and it has a vehicle map. The voice belngs to an actress called Nicollette MacKenzie and it is the same as the voice in the Maestro but the sentences are longer.

Montegos with digital dashes are very rare because they were only produced for about 6 mnths and the Montego VP did not have the digital dash. I estimate about 30,000 Maestros had digital dashes wheras I bet there were less than 3000 Montegos produced with them.

Happy motoring!

In the Maestro the voice sythesizer has a wire that goes straight to the driver's speaker so I would have thought you could hook it up.

The wiring diagrams are in the Montego Haynes manual.
